Viaduct Housing Partnership are delighted to announce the construction of 16 three-bedroom houses is well underway at their latest development, Gordon Street. Backed by Homes England funding for Stockport Homes, the site once encompassed back-to-back Victorian terraced housing dating from the 1800’s, but was more recently demolished in the early 1980’s.
In keeping with surrounding historical elements and its immediate proximity to the Dodge Hill Conservation Area, the new properties have been carefully designed by Dash Architecture and respond in scale to neighbouring houses, with a preference for east/west facing orientation.
Due to the gradients on site, external pathways with non-slip materials and flat resting areas will be introduced so the homes are accessible to all types of occupants and their abilities.
The houses are expected to complete by May 2023, and excitement is building for what will be a fantastic addition to an already thriving community.
